Q. How long can I stay in the house?
A. As many years as you like, the tenancy
agreement will need to be updated
every year.

Q. Is there a minimum contract period?
A. Yes. The mortgage company requires a three year
tenancy agreement to be signed before
completion.
Q. How is the rent paid?
A. The first 36 months will be deducted from the purchase
price,
& thereafter by standing order.

Q. Are there any qualifying age limits?
A. No. Unlike other equity release schemes,
age is not a factor.
Q. What advantages do I get by selling my house and renting it back?
A. It releases the money (equity), which is locked into your property; you may need the
liquidity (cash) for any number of reasons.
Q. Are certain house types better suited to the scheme.
A. Houses worth between £50,000
& £120,000 are most applicable.

Q. What insurance do I need?
A. KRD will insure the property.
You, the tenant, insure the contents.
Q. What other costs are involved?
A. Your own legal fees for the sale, you are also responsible for council tax, water rates etc.
Q. Will my rent be increased?
A. Following the initial 3 year period, rents will only be increased
in line with interest rates.

Q. What will KRD Associates gain from the deal?
A. A modest profit on rent.
Rents are calculated in accordance with the
mortgage companies guidelines.
Increase in equity value & a “built in” Tenant.
Q. Who is responsible for repairs?
A. As the owners KRD Associates will carry out general repairs.

Q. How much notice do I give, should I
wish to leave?
A. After the initial three year period, two months
would normally be sufficient.
Q. How long will the transaction take to complete?
A. Exactly the same length of time as a sale on the open market.

Q. What other advantages are in it for me?
A. There are no estate agents fees, if an agent
has already been appointed, you will have to
pay their fees in the normal manner.
